Improving speed and User Experience

Tesco Mobile had several issues affecting site speed performance. As a result, user experience was below expectation, resulting in unwanted high bounce rates. Therefore the aim of this project was to reduce page loading times and decrease bounce rate on core pages.

To achieve this, QueryClick devised a plan that focused on three core areas:

Upgrade Angular framework

Optimise weight of HTML code

Reduce all image sizes above 100kb

The Results

  • Reduction in bounce rates across core pages
  • Samsung Pages reduced on average by 14.5%
  • First Interactive dropped by ~30%
  • From 9.8s to 7.6s
