Calling all Grads to join our QueryClick Hackathon
QueryClick are holding their first hackathon event on 25th May in Edinburgh, where we have just 20 spaces available and going fast!!
This is a a great opportunity to work on a real life problem which QueryClick’s data scientists have had to tackle before. Work with others in your field and be introduced to QueryClick staff from a variety of skill sets. Establish a network of peers and professionals and understand what a data centric career can encompass.
What’s involved?
You will be split into teams and we will be asking you to complete a classification model for sample data that will be provided in a specific format, by us.
What’s in it for me?
On top of a great learning and networking opportunity, there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd CASH prizes to be won.

This opportunity is on a first come, first serve basis for 20 lucky people. To enter, please email [email protected] to ask to take part. The first 20 people will be notified by Monday 13th May.
The 20 people taking part will be split into teams. The teams will be released on the day of the Hackathon.
The Hackathon shall take place at our QueryClick HQ:
Level 3, The Stamp Office, 10 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3EG
What to bring
A laptop/transportable machine which can access online material, where you will find data and an example of the proposed problem/solution. It should be able to implement a solution (Python/R ).
Outline of the Day
9am – Kick off with an introduction from QueryClick and find out the problem and how this really exists!
10am – Hackathon Kick off!
1pm – Lunch – QueryClick will provide lunch and snacks for the day
5pm – Present solution
6pm – Winners announced and celebration!
